Shaquille O’Neal, Rob Gronkowski Make Big Announcement During Paul vs. Tyson

One of the biggest names in the building for Saturday’s blockbuster fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson was basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal.

The broadcast caught up with the four-time NBA champ moments before the main event, and Shaq did not hold back in making his bold prediction for the fight. According to the Los Angeles Lakers icon, he expects Tyson to “whoop some (expletive).”

That wasn’t the only statement from O’Neal that caught the attention of the fans, though. After revealing how he expects Tyson to beat Paul up, Shaq then asked four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski, who was seated beside him, to stand up. Apparently, the pair had a big announcement to make.

“Me and Gronk gonna put together NBA vs. NFL,” Shaq declared. “Coming soon. I’m talking boxing, fighting, football, basketball.”

Apparently, this was something the former NBA MVP just cooked up as he was talking smack with Gronk during the high-profile boxing event.

“I just thought about it because me and Gronk are good friends (and) he challenged me to a fight,” O’Neal revealed.

Gronk quickly clapped back at Shaq by expressing how much he’s looking forward to facing the 7-foot-1 big man in the ring.

“I’m not really your good friend, I’m ready to fight your (expletive),” Gronk responded. “Hey, can we be the first main event?”

There was nothing but mutual admiration and respect between the pair as they exchanged “I love you’s” before ending the interview. Nevertheless, this likely won’t stop them from trying to knock each other out if and when this megafight actually happens.
